Thanuka Dabare, a talented cricketer from Sri Lanka, was born on August 20, 1998. He made his mark in the domestic circuit, representing Saracens Sports Club in both first-class and List A cricket. Dabare made his first-class debut in the 2017-18 Premier League Tournament and his List A debut in the same season’s Premier Limited Overs Tournament.

Playing as a batting all-rounder, Dabare has showcased his skills with both bat and ball. 

 

His batting records reflect an average of 21.7 runs per match in the Lanka Premier League (LPL), 4.0 runs per match in domestic one-day internationals (DODI), and 34.6 runs per match in domestic T20 matches (DT20). As a bowler, he has been effective, taking an average of 0.6 wickets per match in DODIs.

 

Dabare’s strike rates show his ability to hit boundaries, with a boundary every 6.1 balls in LPL, 6.0 balls in DODI, and 5.2 balls in DT20. He has also displayed a penchant for hitting sixes, achieving the feat every 41.0 balls in LPL, every 12.0 balls in DODI, and every 37.0 balls in DT20. Additionally, he has a good scoring rate for fours, hitting one every 7.2 balls in LPL, 12.0 balls in DODI, and 6.1 balls in DT20.

 

As a right-handed batsman and a medium right-arm bowler, Dabare brings versatility to the game. He has represented Sri Lanka Under-19s, Ace Capital Cricket Club, and SLC Greys, showcasing his talent and potential in different settings.
