BIOGRAPHY
Dushmantha Chameera, a tall, slim, and agile cricketer, joined NCC (Nondescripts Cricket Club) in 2012, where his potential as a future bowler was quickly recognized. One of his greatest strengths is his ability to bowl at a high speed, thanks to his slightly round-arm action, although it sacrifices some movement. By the age of 23, he had developed into the fastest bowler in the country, consistently bowling over 140 kilometers per hour. In his initial seasons, he had limited opportunities to play, but he showcased his skills during NCC’s championship-winning campaign in 2013-14, taking 32 wickets in first-class cricket at an average of 21.18.
In late 2014, Chameera earned a place in Sri Lanka’s Test squad for their tour of New Zealand. However, he did not get a chance to play in the Test matches, despite performing well in the tour match. As a late addition to the One-Day International (ODI) squad for the same tour, he made his international debut in Wellington. Impressively, in his very first over, he dismissed Ross Taylor with a delivery clocking at 146 kilometers per hour.
Now, Dushmanta Chameera is ready to play for the B-Love Kandy in LPLT20 2023. Match is going to be start on 31st July.
