The LPLT20 2023 auction took place on June 14th in Shangri La Hotel – Colombo, Sri Lanka, marking an exhilarating day. The atmosphere was electric as we put our hearts and souls into building our B-Love Kandy team.
It was a thrilling experience to see our strategies unfold and witness the team take shape, fueled by our passion for the game. With a spending limit of $500,000, we eagerly participated, splurging $498,000 to secure some of the most promising players in the league.
The Auction Committee: Choosing Wisely
To assemble a winning team, we relied on the expertise and strategic insights of our esteemed committee members. Led by team mentor Wasim Akram, alongside Mushtaq Ahmed, Javed Miandad, Mohammad Azharuddin, and Prassana, we meticulously handpicked the players who we believe will make a significant impact.
As the auction progressed, our determination grew stronger. We knew that each acquisition was a stepping stone towards our ultimate goal: lifting the trophy and making our fans proud. With every bid and negotiation, we felt a surge of excitement, knowing that we were investing in a team that would bring joy and excitement to cricket enthusiasts.

Leading our team as the captain is Wanindu Hasaranga, a player we’re incredibly proud to have on board. His exceptional skills and leadership qualities will undoubtedly contribute to our success.
In addition to our local players, we have a formidable group of six overseas players hailing from Pakistan and Afghanistan. Fakhar Zaman, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Haris, Asif Ali, and Aamer Jamal bring their immense talent and experience to bolster our squad.
