Sandakan continued his impressive form in the following season with 45 wickets at 24.28. In the 2015-16 Premier League Tournament, he again topped the wicket-takers’ list, leading to his inclusion in the A team squad to England. There, he took 5 for 40 in a List A match against Derbyshire, earning a Test debut against Australia in Pallekele. Sandakan’s consistent performances at the domestic level paved the way for his international career

Currently, he is a member of the B-Love Kandy team in the Lanka Premier League (LPL), where he continues to showcase his bowling prowess and contribute to the team’s success.
