Pasqual Handi Kamindu Dilanka Mendis, born on September 30, 1998, in Galle, Sri Lanka, is a 25-year-old cricketer known for his all-round capabilities. A left-hand batter, Mendis is also skilled in bowling both right-arm offbreak and slow left-arm orthodox, making him a versatile allrounder. He was educated at Richmond College in Galle. Kamindu Mendis has a family connection to cricket, with his brother ST Mendis also being involved in the sport. In his T20 career, Mendis has played 70 matches and has a strike rate of 126.15.

In the age of T20, a bowler who can spin it away from both right and left-handers, not to mention employ different lines of attack to the same batsman, could potentially have team owners and data analysts drooling, so long as Kamindu continues to develop those skills. In October of that year, he was picked in a Sri Lanka senior side for the first time, for the one-off T20 against England. A half-century in the practice match before that England tour had helped him secure a place. Currently, he is playing for the B-Love Kandy team in the Lanka Premier League (LPL), where he continues to demonstrate his diverse cricketing skills.
